Ty & Katy | A cosy Autumn day at Dalduff Farm

On the windiest day of 2018 Katy and Ty hosted the cosiest, most relaxed autumn wedding I may have ever been to. Storm Ali was so fierce that the ceremony was moved from the tin barn into the candle-lit alcove in the stone barn.

The morning was spent putting the final details to the indoor spaces and making colourful flower crowns before Ty arrived with his guys on the back of a vintage tractor. The day was a perfect mix of Scottish, seasonal creativity and laid-back Australian vibes as Ty and Katy’s families came together for a good old party. Live music from friends accompanied a warming red wine reception before feasting together into the evening.

If theres one thing that I’ve learned about rainy wedding days, it’s that you’re often treated to some sunlight later into the evening and this was no exception. As we ventured out for an evening walk the sky was a-light with the most amazing colours and was the perfect moment of calm before the ceilidh began.
