Jason & Emma | A modern, flower filled wedding at Timberyard, Edinburgh.
These two travelled from their home in London to get married in their favourite restaurant in Edinburgh, a city that had stolen their hearts whilst on holiday a few years ago. I was so excited to celebrate with them as when we had first met we discovered we love all the same things - good food, coffee, cake and company and I’m pleased I now have some solid recommendations for places to explore in London as well as some friends to share it with!
On the morning of their Monday wedding I popped in to Timberyard to capture the wonderful Narcissus turning a sea of flowers into bouquets, hedgerow style table displays and a hanging cloud of blooms to sit in the centre of the intimate restaurant area. Emma got ready at the grand Caledonian Hotel in the centre of Edinburgh while Jason was at Porteous Studio in the Grassmarket before heading to the courtyard of Timberyard to tie the knot.
Later we ventured up Arthur Seat in the sunshine. The air was clear and the views were incredible, it’s not often Edinburgh gives us sun but when it does it’s worth the hike to make the most of it!
Back at Timberyard we sat down to a five course meal and a set of emotional speeches before dancing the night away to gentle jazz by the beautiful Byjune duo.
