2017 has been so full of big, creative, laughter filled moments that take so much planning and care to achieve but also loads of those little, poignant moments you can't plan for. I've been so lucky to witness and capture these for all the amazing people who have entrusted me to document their wedding day. Sometimes its not about the dramatic mountain backdrops, expensive dresses and fancy venues, its about the magic that happens when you put a bunch of people who really love each other in a room together and turn the music up.
I have been so immensely lucky to work with some amazing suppliers and photographers. A special thanks to all my ninja second shooters this year, and to some of my favourite venues: Guardswell Farm, The Cow Shed Crail, The Secret Herb Garden, The National Museum of Scotland, Timberyard Edinburgh, Colstoun Cookery School not to mention all the beautiful woods, tipee's, tents and Gardens that I've had the joy of photographing people marrying in.
Here are my best moments from 2017 featuring dogs, doughnuts, rooftops, tractors, stars, some tears and a whole lot of laughter. If you make it to the end you'll be treated to my favourite photo of 2017. When you see it, you'll know why!
While you're scrolling, have a listen to a favourite editing song of mine, written by our good friends Chasing Owls who sang during our own wedding this year.
